Publication Ethics

JACSI: Journal of Autonomous Computing Systems and Intelligence is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal follows the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure that all published articles are original, ethical, transparent, and of high scholarly quality.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are expected to:

  • Submit original manuscripts that have not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  • Ensure that all data, results, and interpretations are accurate and presented honestly.
  • Properly acknowledge and cite all sources used in the manuscript.
  • Obtain ethical approval when research involves human participants, animals, or sensitive data, where applicable.
  • Disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the research.
  • List only individuals who have made significant scholarly contributions as authors.
  • Promptly notify the editorial office if a significant error is discovered after publication.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

  • Making publication decisions based solely on the manuscript's academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope.
  • Conducting a fair, objective, and confidential editorial process.
  • Ensuring that submitted manuscripts undergo an appropriate peer-review process.
  • Avoiding conflicts of interest in editorial decisions.
  • Taking appropriate action in cases of suspected misconduct, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical violations.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts.
  • Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
  • Inform the editor of any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical concerns.
  • Decline the review if a conflict of interest exists or if they are unable to provide an impartial assessment.

Responsibilities of the Publisher

The publisher is committed to:

  • Supporting editorial independence and maintaining the integrity of the publication process.
  • Ensuring that ethical standards are consistently implemented throughout the publication workflow.
  • Preserving published content through appropriate archiving systems.
  • Cooperating with editors in addressing allegations of research or publication misconduct.

Publication Misconduct

JACSI does not tolerate any form of publication misconduct, including but not limited to:

  • Plagiarism
  • Data fabrication or falsification
  • Duplicate or redundant publication
  • Citation manipulation
  • Improper authorship or ghost authorship
  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest
  • Manipulation of the peer-review process

Any confirmed ethical violation may result in manuscript rejection, publication correction, article retraction, notification to the authors' affiliated institutions, or other appropriate actions in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Ethical Oversight

The Editorial Board reserves the right to investigate suspected ethical violations before, during, or after publication. Decisions regarding ethical issues will be made fairly, transparently, and in accordance with internationally accepted standards of scholarly publishing.
